A challenging commision

This card has been a challenge i have never undertaken before.
Their is a story linked to this card, my husband's father passed away recently and I made a thank you card for my husbands place of work following a very kind donation to the primrose hospice in Dad's memory. Everyone loved the thank you cards and this has led to a cascade of orders for christmas cards. My hubby's boss asked if he could phone and ask for a very special card for his 8 year old granddaughter who is blind. I have tried to make this card as tactile as possible whilst keeping it linked to the festive season, i was thinking this could be a christmas party dress.
I have used a purple base card with a three quarter fold back, matted and layered with purple mirri and a snowflake background. I have used brads to attatch snow flakes so that they can be turned, pom pom's for snow balls and gems for a raised tactile feel to the surface of the card. I have also created some bead work along the side that moves up and down the wire. The dress is very touchy feely with feathers, sequins and a bow.

I hope and pray that my hubby's boss will be thrilled with the effect that i have created.

Please leave any feed back, all comments are valued, i tried not to over load her sence of touch by putting to much onto the card, but still wanted her to feel special when she opens her card from her Nannie and Grandad.

It's been a while since I have made any cards, busy with christmas preperations. I have been asked to compile a scrapbook for a close friend, however it is a scrapbook with a difference, my friend only has postal access to her granddaughter and wants to make a scrapbook of the letters and photographs that she has received. NO PRESSURE hey, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions about this task then i would be very greatful, the letters are on A4 paper and some times 2 - 3 pages long so I was thinking about making a fancy pocket on the page to slide the letter in and then using the photo on the same page. So thinking caps on folks ............. please leave your ideas on my blogg and i will pick them up ................
cheers and thanks.............
